Health Benefits of Cinnamon and honey

Cinnamon is a tasty spice and it is filled with multiple vitamins and minerals. Honey also has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. When these both are combined together they become a powerful natural remedy for many things.

To treat acne or pimple, you will need 2 tbsp. of honey and one tbsp. of cinnamon powder. You can get cinnamon powder in market or else you can grind 3-4 cinnamon sticks to get powder form. Mix honey into it and let it stay untouched for 15 minutes. Then apply it on your clean face, you can also use it as spot treatment if you have sensitive skin. Allow it to stay for 20-25 minute and then rinse off with water. The anti-bacterial properties of cinnamon will dry out the acne and healing properties of honey heals acne immediately.


Honey and cinnamon when applied together can help you get rid of many skin problems and one of them is blackheads. Cinnamon removes excess oil from skin preventing formation of blackheads while honey soothes and removes impurities from pores. Mix equal amount of honey and cinnamon powder. Apply it on blackheads and leave it overnight. In the morning wash off with cold water and repeat it daily for effective results.

Weight loss:

Put 1/2 tsp of cinnamon in a bowl. Boil 2 cups of water and pour it over the cinnamon. Steep for 15 minutes. Add 1- 2 tsp. of honey to the cooled liquid. Always add honey to the cooled liquid – hot liquid will destroy the enzymes in the raw honey.  Take the mixture right when you wake up and wait 30 minutes before having your breakfast meal. This mixture will prevent hunger pangs and night cravings. This mixture will exfoliate dry and dead skin and honey will keep your feet nourished for hours.
